A preschool update 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago
What can I say -things are going fantastically well, and I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful place for dd to spend her preschool years. She was initially quite reserved, but has recently started to come out of her shell and loves participating in the music and PMP programs. She comes home singing new songs the teacher has taught her, and gives me wonderful detailed descriptions of what she has done during the day (anyone who has been through the "I can't remember thing" with their child when you ask them what they did at kinder/school will appreciate how nice this is!).

Seeing what a wonderful and stimulating time she has at kinder I was tempted to enroll her full time next year, but have decided to stick with part time (which at four year old level will be 3 days a week from 9-3pm).

Hey Annabel,
How is Zoe going now? Is she still enjoying kinder?

Hey Kim - thanks for asking.

I am still extremely pleased with my daughter's 3 year old kinder class, and I can't say enough good things about her teacher. Unfortunately our daughter seems to have the mid-year kinder blues, and has decided that she should complain bitterly every kinder morning and then scream and try to run after me when I drop her off Of course once I'm gone she has a fabulous day, and when I pick her up she is chatty and vibrant and I can tell that she's had a stimulating and enjoyable time.

I'm not so much concerned about the morning antics as I am tired and a bit fed up by it all I genuinely believe that she is better off attending the kinder two days a week than she would be at home with me and I think her behaviour when I pick her up is evidence of that. Getting her to kinder is such a trial however I'm actually relieved when Wednesday comes around and I don't have to go through the whole business.

Oh well...we only have two days left before we go away so the problem has kind of been solved for me this year. We will see what next year brings.

Annabel.
